Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario is responsible for the formulation and approval of pesticide registration regulations.

3. Registration approval time
Registration can usually be obtained within 2 years, including field trials for 1 year (due to differences in climate and soil conditions in coastal and forest areas, two sites are required), the review takes 3-6 months, and the approval application takes 6 months.
